| HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE READ the text passages in more than one Bible translation, if possible. (If you study this with one or more other people, you will have the opportunity to discuss these texts. Sometimes that is when the best insight and understanding happens!) READ The written discussion on each Bible text. Reflect on the message and consider how it applies to your life, or the lives of Christians in the 21st century. COME TO WORSHIP ON SUNDAY. LISTEN Studying the Lessons and Gospel ahead of time may enhance your total worship experience and make it more meaningful. BONUS In order to more fully understand the Bible lessons, attend Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday morning. It is important to hear many other voices interpret and discuss the Gospel, and it is also important for you to add your insights and understanding to the conversation as well. By doing this, the Word of God begins to become a part of our being, and begins to influence all that we say and do. |
